Textiles designer, Professor of
Tokyo Zokei University
Born in Ishioka City, Reiko Sudo graduated from the Department of Design, Musashino Art University Junior College of Art and Design, with a major in Craft Design. After completing her course at Musashino, she helped to establish “NUNO” in 1984, where she is presently Executive Design Director. She creates new textiles by taking full advantage of everything from traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving styles to the most modern techniques of today. Her works have received high acclaim at home and abroad, winning her a large number of awards, and have been added to collections in many museums. She also provides instruction to the younger generation as professor at Tokyo Zokei University.
